The Latvian Football Federation (LFF) continues its active participation in the "Erasmus+" project FAIRER, which is aimed at involving football organizations in the promotion of public welfare and the fight against radicalization. Working group meetings were organized in Riga this month in order to check the guidelines under development and discuss various solutions.
The working groups gathered representatives of fan movements and clubs, as well as members and employees of the LFF board, representatives of the State Probation Service and Riga Municipality Police.
The overall aim of testing the FAIRER guidelines is to test the guidelines and their potential effectiveness in reducing radicalization at the level of football fans and society. The guidelines include steps to detect early signs of radicalization in the behavior of football fans and deal with them appropriately, offering strategies for co-creating social change through fan involvement and creating effective collaborations between clubs, institutions and organizations that aim to combat radicalisation.
